Our annual parish picnic, a popular event in times past, was revived in 2002 and has been held every June since then. This year's picnic was held Saturday, June 20 on our pleasant and spacious parish grounds. Once again, an outstanding assortment of food was prepared by the Holy Name Society. The menu included hamburgers, hotdogs, sausage with peppers, BBQ chicken, BBQ ribs, shrimp, steamed clams, and corn-on-the-cob. The ladies of St. Ann's Society prepared delicious salads, pastas, and tasty desserts for everyone to enjoy.
Even the dreary, rainy weather could not dampen the enthusiasm and spirit of the people attending the picnic. A fantastic combination of great food, music, entertainment, and fellowship made for a fun picnic for all to remember.
Many thanks to all who made it possible! Special thanks are extended to John Grausam for once again obtaining the tents!
As always, our parish picnic is free of charge for parishioners.
We can't wait until next year's picnic!
