“Bless me, Father, for I have sinned …”

Today, 21 parish children and 6 school students were blessed to celebrate their First Confession, heard by our pastor, Fr. Ivan. This Sunday, they will be welcomed around the Eucharistic table for their First Holy Communion. The students spent the whole day at Assumption Catholic School, sharing pizza for lunch and enjoying a wonderful time of fellowship, prayer, and learning as they prepared for this important and blessed day.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sister Veronica, Sister Trijtsi, and Sister Svitanku for preparing our parish children for this special occasion, as well as to the ACS teachers for preparing the school students.

We also thank the members of the Ukrainian Selfreliance Federal Credit Union for presenting the students with a monetary gift and special backpacks as keepsakes for this important spiritual milestone.
