Україні вибухнула серйозна пандемія грипу, пік якої очікується в наступні тижні.  Вони переживають критичне зменшення медичних засобів, які би полегшили людям в Україні протікання хвороби. Уряд України звернувся про нагальну потребу пожертв особливих медикаментів, які підтримують хворих та тих, що знаходяться в критичній ситуації.  Термінове забезпечення необхідним – що є  найкращою формою надання допомоги – може бути здійснене через закупівлю потрібних медикаментів.

Збірки на цю термінову допомогу будуть проводитися в усіх парафіях нашої Української Католицької Архиєпархії Філадельфії 15 і 22 листопада.  Вони будуть передані до Канцелярії одразу після збору, 23 листопада, щоб на них можна було закупити необхідні лікарням медичні засоби.

Просимо вас бути щедрими у відгуку на цю термінову допомогу.  Знайте, що ваша пожертва буде терміново передана тим, що потребують допомоги, тим, хто страждає від пандемії грипу в Україні.  Згадаймо слова Ісуса:  «Істинно кажу вам, усе, що ви зробили одному з моїх братів найменших, ви мені зробили»  (Мт. 25, 40).

The genocidal famine in the Ukraine, termed the “Holodomor” [English: death by starvation], was perpetrated by Soviet authorities during 1932 and 1933.

Parishioner and long-time art teacher at Perth Amboy High School (PAHS), Mrs. Marcella Massopust, supervised the painting of a mural by the PAHS Gifted and Talented Art Class students.  The permanent mural, which is located in the council chambers on the second floor of City Hall, had its official unveiling on Wednesday, November 11, 2009.
 
The approximately 50 foot long by 7 foot tall mural honors Perth Amboy Veterans, past and present, depicting a military timeline of the US armed forces from Colonial times to the present.

Two parishioner youth who are ACS graduates have roles in the comedy "Cheaper by the Dozen" with the St. Joseph High School Theatre Company.  
 
The actors are sisters – Jessica, ACS '06 and Marisa, ACS '08.   
 
Based on a true story, the comedy tells of parents, who are efficiency experts, and their twelve children.

Evening performances are Thursday, November 12 at 7:30, Friday and Saturday, November 13 and 14, at 8:00 PM, and a Sunday matinee on November 15 at 3 PM.
 
The St. Joseph Theatre is behind the main school building at 145 Plainfield Ave., Metuchen, NJ.
 
Tickets are available at the door.
