July 29, 2009 – The Holy Father appointed Bishop John Bura, currently auxiliary bishop of the Archeparchy of Philadelphia, as apostolic administrator of the new vacant seat "sede  vacante" in the St. Josaphat Eparchy of Parma, Ohio.  The seat was vacated when the Holy Father accepted the resignation of Bishop Robert Moskal who has reached the age for retirement in accordance with the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches.
 
We wish Bishop John well in his new assignment and wish Bishop Robert a healthy and happy retirement.
